OpenAI has launched a new tool called ChatGPT Work. Unlike a normal chatbot, this AI agent can complete tasks on its own. You give it a goal, and it works through the steps needed to reach it.

The agent can connect to your email, Slack, and calendar. It gathers information from these apps and uses it to create finished work, such as reports, spreadsheets, and slide decks. It can even stay on a complex project for several hours without needing constant human input.

ChatGPT Work runs on GPT-5.6, OpenAI's newest and most powerful model. The rollout started with Pro, enterprise, and Edu plans, and will soon reach Plus and Business users as well.
