Google announced on August 11 that its Gemini app has passed one billion monthly active users.
CEO Sundar Pichai called it the fastest-growing product in the company's history. Just over a year ago, in May 2025, the app had only 400 million users.
The growth kept climbing throughout the year. By October 2025, the number reached over 650 million, and by May 2026, it passed 900 million.
