Anthropic, the company behind the AI model Claude, had planned to raise prices for its Claude Sonnet 5 model starting on September 1. But the company just announced that the increase will not happen.
When Claude Sonnet 5 launched in June, Anthropic offered a low introductory price: $2 for every million input tokens and $10 for every million output tokens. That price was supposed to rise to $3 and $15 in September, a fifty percent jump.
